Sonepur is 30 kms across the river Ganga from Patna, the capital city of Bihar, which receives direct daily flights from Delhi and Calcutta, and is a major railway junction also linked by road to important towns on the Calcutta-Delhi route. The nearest airport is Patna. Indian Airlines and some private aircrafts (Jet and Spice) connect Patna with Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, Guwahati, Lucknow, Ranchi and Kathmandu.

By Rail
Sonepur, Hajipur and Patna are connected to major centers in India by air-conditioned, non-air conditioned and sleeper trains. Sonepur and Hajipur are on the same line and connected through daily 5-6 trains from Delhi. On the other hand the main Railway station of Patna offers widest range from all the major cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hydearabad, Lucknow, Punjab etc.) of the country almost on the daily basis.

By Road
